Let me tell you about my upcoming race…
I”m pretty excited about this. The course goes through the beautiful, quaint downtown area of Hot Springs. Then up a little something called “West Mountain”, but I’m not focusing on that part as much 😉 The atmosphere should be great…look at this bit of info that’s on the website…

I have a week and a half of training left and I’m feeling pretty good. I was nervous until I did 4.5 miles this past Saturday. I finished it strong and feel like I’ll be able to move ahead rather easily. This weeks’ plan called for a 2 miler on Monday, 3 miler on Wednesday (today), and I’ll do 5.5 miles on Saturday. I missed Monday’s run because of a rotten cold that sprung up on me, but I just pounded out 3 miles at the gym this evening and I’m feeling great.
I’m really enjoying being in “training mode” again. It feels good to be consistent and stick with something for a while. Maybe I can transfer that energy into some consistency with this blog. I am struggling with finding time to sit down and write, but I find it calming and am looking forward to developing it. I don’t know if anybody would care to read about what I’m doing/eating/thinking, but goshdarnit I’m fixin’ to put it up here.
